We are over the hump and the G1 is roaring towards it’s conclusion. Meanwhile, the booking has me in a place where I genuinely don’t have a clue what’s going on. I’m still optimistically clinging to my Naito pick, but who fucking knows at this point.

In a surprising twist, I caught a bit of the undercard on this show. Amazingly, it got me quite excited for Moxley vs Yano. It was easy to forget when he was filtered through the lens of Vince McMahon, but Mox is a funny guy, and there is every chance he and The Master Thief will create some magic. Anyway, that’s tomorrow’s show. Today we’re in the A Block and have plenty of fun to look forward to.

After a underwhelming performance from the A Block the previous day, Aichi will have been looking at B to pick up the slack. It was certainly a card with potential as Naito got his shot at ending Moxley’s unbeaten streak, Ishii and Juice went head to head, and Shingo faced-off with the Switchblade. Was there enough there to make it a classic? Let’s find out.

It will never cease to amaze me that I can wake up on a normal Thursday morning and watch Kota Ibushi vs Will Ospreay. How awesome is that? Why would you not watch wrestling? And if you do watch wrestling, why would you not watch New Japan? If you’re that person, get your fucking head examined.
