The Listening Booth – Employed To Serve, Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties and Pkew Pkew Pkew

Hello friends, even with Best Of The Super Juniors taking up a shitload of my time, I still had room for The Listening Booth to saunter into the schedule. In the past week I’ve been having a fucking awesome time with Employed To Serve, Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties and PKEW PKEW PKEW all of whom I am about to incomprehensibly ramble about. Strap yourself in and enjoy. Or don’t. I won’t be angry. Well, maybe a little.

The Listening Booth – The Wildhearts, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Amon Amarth

Hello friends, welcome to The Listening Booth where I ramble incoherently about what I’ve been putting into my ears. It has a been week of heavy hitters as we have the return of The Wildhearts, Frank Carter continuing his journey with The Rattlesnakes and some Vikings. You probably won’t discover something new, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun all the same.

The Listening Booth – The Damned Things, Cokie the Clown and Otoboke Beaver

Hello friends, welcome to The Listening Booth where I dive into the best (or most interesting) of what I’ve been listening to in the past week. As we kick off May I’ve had a slightly different aural seven days featuring a Fat Mike confessional and some Japanese, em, punk? We’ll go with that for the moment. Throw in the return of an old favourite, and there is plenty to get your teeth into.

The Listening Booth – PUP, Martha and Amigo the Devil

Hello friends, welcome to The Listening Booth. We have a bit of a theme running through what I’ve been listening to this week, but I’ll leave that for you to figure out (it’s not going to be hard). Whether you agree with my ramblings or not, it’s three stunning albums, so if you’d prefer to close this shite and listen to them, I won’t hold it against you.

The Listening Booth – La Dispute, The Cinematic Orchestra and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Hello friends, welcome to The Listening Booth where I breakdown what I have been plugging into my ears in the last week. It’s part album reviews, part confessional and part me making everything about, well, me. This week we’re going into some heavy hitters as we kick things off with La Dispute, luxuriate in The Cinematic Orchestra and say goodbye with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Enjoy.

The Listening Booth – Holy Pinto, Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard and Svalbard

Hello friends, Romans and indeed countrymen, welcome to the Listening Booth where I ramble incoherently about what I’ve been putting in my ears. This week we’ve got some music that hit uncomfortably close to home for moi, the brilliantly named Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard and a touch hardcore from last year that I never got a chance to talk about. Sound good? Too bloody right it does.

The Listening Booth – Blood Youth, Mineral and PJ Harvey

Hello friends, pull up a chair, crack open a beverage and get comfortable in The Listening Booth because I’m about to do some rambling. I’ve realised that if you were coming to these articles looking for actual reviews, you’d often leave sorely disappointed. They’re closer to extended therapy sessions where I try and capture my emotional response to an album. I’m telling you this because that approach is horrifically self-indulgent, so if you aren’t interested, I don’t want to waste your time. Otherwise, this week we’re diving into a new release from Blood Youth and a couple of oldies from Mineral and PJ Harvey. Enjoy!
