The Listening Booth – Employed To Serve, Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties and Pkew Pkew Pkew

Hello friends, even with Best Of The Super Juniors taking up a shitload of my time, I still had room for The Listening Booth to saunter into the schedule. In the past week I’ve been having a fucking awesome time with Employed To Serve, Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties and PKEW PKEW PKEW all of whom I am about to incomprehensibly ramble about. Strap yourself in and enjoy. Or don’t. I won’t be angry. Well, maybe a little.

Stardom’s second show from Golden Week placed Queen’s Quest in charge of proceedings. STARS set a high bar with their efforts, so can the cops leap over it? Time to find out.

NJPW Best Of The Super Jr. 26 (15/5/19) Review

Has anyone checked to see whether Dragon Lee is Shibata in a mask? Credit: NJPW

Coming into night three, Best Of The Super Juniors was 2-0 for great shows, and New Japan had cooked up a card with the potential to make it 3-0. We’ve got a main-event of SHO vs Dragon Lee, a technical battle between Gresham and Taka plus the continued warpath of Shingo Takagi. You’d be mad to miss it.

NJPW Best Of The Super Jr. 26 (14/5/19) Review

Big match Taguch! Credit: NJPW

With A Block smashing it out the park on night one, it’s time to wander over to B Block as they kick off their side of the tournament with a card that lacks the wow factor of SHO vs Shingo or Ishimori vs Dragon Lee. Not that there isn’t intrigue to be found. We’ve got El Phantasmo and the mysterious DOUKI competing in straight-up matches for the first time while Will Ospreay’s return to the Juniors after his NEVER run will be interesting. There is fun to be had even if the potential for brilliance is not quite there.

NJPW Best Of The Super Jr. 26 (13/5/19) Review

It’s Super Juniors time! As is the norm for New Japan tournaments, I will be reviewing every show (although I can’t promise they’ll all go up promptly because life). That also means I’ll be skipping the undercard because, well, life. Now, onto the action. It’s night one of the Super Juniors, and this is shaping up to be one hell of a year. I fucking love this shit.

The Listening Booth – The Wildhearts, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Amon Amarth

Hello friends, welcome to The Listening Booth where I ramble incoherently about what I’ve been putting into my ears. It has a been week of heavy hitters as we have the return of The Wildhearts, Frank Carter continuing his journey with The Rattlesnakes and some Vikings. You probably won’t discover something new, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun all the same.

ROH Throwback: The Round Robin Challenge (30/3/02)

I can only apologise for the long gap between old-school Ring Of Honor reviews. Truthfully, that is going to be the norm. These articles are something I’ll drop back into whenever there isn’t anything else to talk about/when I’m in the mood. I never promised it was going to be a fast history lesson. Anyway, ROH’s second show was based around a pretty simple premise. Low Ki, American Dragon and Christopher Daniels are fucking great. Let’s have them wrestle lots. Sounds good to me.

Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches Of April 2019

Spoiler. Credit: NJPW

Hello friends, April was a busy old month for the wrassling, wasn’t it? That little thing called WrestleMania grabbed everyone’s attention for a bit, but it was far from alone. Unfortunately, that means there is a lot of stuff I haven’t watched. I’ve barely scratched the surface of the Champion’s Carnival, and haven’t even got around to watching Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan. Still, there is a load I have seen, and that was packed with exciting matches.
