For a long time, the only thing I wanted to write about was music. Then, sometime last year, I realised that I no longer wanted to do that. For reasons that are too many to get into here, I fell out of love and forcing myself to sit down and put words on a page wasn’t helping. So, I stopped and Ramblings About became Ramblings About Wrestling. However, in the last few months, that passion has started to come back again. I’m not going to stop writing about wrestling, but suddenly I feel the need to put words to the page about bands that rock. So, that’s what I’m going to do! Every now and then I am going to pick out three albums that I think are awesome and ramble out my thoughts. Hopefully, you’ll find something to listen to. If not, well, sorry I guess?
Becky Lynch: Should We Boo?
On Sunday the 19th of August Becky Lynch once again saw her chance to win the SmackDown Women’s Title slip through her fingers. This time, it was her best friend Charlotte Flair that stole it from her. Added to Becky’s match with Carmella after returning from injury, Charlotte went on to beat Carmella and take the title for herself. So, Becky Lynch did what she had to do. She punched Charlotte in the face, turning heel as the audience exploded. Not with boos or shouts of sympathy for Flair. No, they roared with joy. In their eyes, they were finally getting to see someone that they loved getting the push that they deserved. It was a genuine moment of emotion from an adoring public.
AAA TripleMania XXVI (25/8/18) Review
Hello friends and welcome to a review of TripleMania written by someone who is clueless about Lucha Libre. If you’re looking to understand what is going on, look elsewhere. I’ll even tell you where to look. Check out Luchablog. Every part of this review that sounds like I know what I’m talking about is because I read his preview and followed along with his Twitter while watching. Anyway, I love these shows because they make me laugh, so let’s have some fun.
NJPW G1 Climax 28 Round-Up
You thought I was finished? Of course not. It’s time for the G1 round-up. I am going to do report cards for each wrestler involved, a rundown of my favourite matches and links to all my reviews. The idea is that if you’ve missed the G1 and are looking for hints as to what to watch and what to avoid, this might serve as a helpful guide. wXw Shortcut To The Top 2018 Review
It’s happened a bit later on Ramblings About (blame the G1 and the Edinburgh Festival), but wXw is back! After a summer break, everyone’s favourite Germans return with Shortcut to the Top which is their version of the Royal Rumble. We’ve also got Absolute Andy cashing in his 16 Carat title shot against Ilja Dragunov and Marius Al-Ani challenging Bobby Gunns for the Shotgun belt. Time to find out whether they’ve lost a step over the summer.
NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV (18/8/18) Review
It doesn’t matter how the build has gone or who is on the card, NXT TakeOvers always deliver. So, how excited should we be when we go into one where the card looks damn good? The Undisputed Era vs Moustache Mountain? Yum. Baszler vs Sane? I want a bit of that. Adam Cole vs Ricochet? Yes, please. Ciampa vs Gargano? Well, to be honest, we’ve probably seen that enough, but it will still be good! TakeOver Brooklyn IV was all set-up to be a classic. I guess we should find out whether it was.

NJPW G1 Climax Final (12/8/18) Review
Wow, here we are then. The G1 final. I’ve reviewed every single one of these buggers which I’m quite proud of. In the next few days I’m going to do a round-up of the tournament where I go through every wrestler and talk about how they did, but right now there is only one thing to focus on. The final. I’m not bothering with the undercard because, honestly, fuck the undercard. The only thing that matters is who takes that pretty shitty looking trophy home. Enough talk. Let’s finish this bad boy.

The final night of A Block is upon us, and there’s only really two matches that mean anything. Fortunately, one of those is Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kazuchika Okada and fuck me, that’s never going to be bad. It’s the feud that modern-day New Japan was built upon, and you’d be mental to bet against them delivering another classic.
