Having enjoyed Impact vs Lucha Underground from WrestleMania Weekend, I have decided to once again slip into the pool that is Impact. The company formerly known as TNA has burned me before, but their relationship with Lucha Underground combined with the likes of Don Callis taking critical roles behind the scenes has got me intrigued. I’m leaping in and hoping they’ve finally sorted their shit out.

I don’t know how many times I’ve claimed to be done with TNA/GFW/Impact. It feels like it’s a regular occurrence. However, they keep finding ways to drag me back in. Their latest plan to get me to care again involved teaming up with Lucha Underground for their WrestleMania Weekend show. At a time of year when a lot of companies wheel out the same faces, it was something a bit different. You could officially declare me interested.

AAA TripleMania (26/8/17) Review

In an interesting move, this weekend saw AAA air TripleMania for free on Twitch. As someone who has never watched any Lucha Libre before, never mind any AAA, it seemed as good an excuse as any to check it out. What I discovered was a show that, well, to be perfectly honest, was bloody mental. It made SummerSlam look consistent and yo-yo-ed wildly from fantastic to awful. From emotion to farce. It was one hell of an experience and I’m desperate to talk about it so let’s hand out some stars.
