Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for January 2023

Maybe it’s just me, but January always feels like a fresh start for my wrestling viewing. My backlog from the previous year goes out of the window, under the assumption that if I haven’t watched it yet, I never will, and it’s a chance to jump back into promotions that I might have fallen away with it. When you throw in Ittenyon and all the excitement around that, it’s usually a good month, something this list makes clear.

The UK might have spent September doing the political version of loudly shitting itself while screaming and pointing in the opposite direction to distract us, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some great wrestling. Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for May 2022

I was doing so well on keeping up with wrestling, and then we hit the summer months, which meant I started having to go outside and see other people, and now I’m behind again. This month started pretty quietly but then took off in the last week or so to the point where I am not caught up on all the wrestling. (Actually, I’m never caught up on all the wrestling, but hey, it’s nearly the Christmas holidays and who needs to spend time with the family?) I swear it was only a week or so ago that I was putting together this list for the end of September, but here we are, the spookiest month of the year is in the bag, and alongside watching a shitload of horror films, I did find some time for wrestling. It ended up being quite a busy month, what with TJPW and Stardom running big events, the G1 ending (I didn’t watch it, but people still care) and AEW continuing to make things enjoyable in America. Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches Of May 2020

Before going any further, I feel it needs to be said that I, and by extension this website, believe that black lives matter. I am fully behind every protester in America or anywhere else in the world who is standing up for their right to live. This might not be the biggest platform, but it is one, so I implore that you provide support in whatever way you can and also to listen, listen to the people affected by this shit and learn from it. Someone like me can never fully understand it, but we can try.

Feels a bit trite to move from that into me spewing my nonsense about some matches I like, but oh well, here we go.
