With the launch of the new look Wrestle Universe, we’re getting a whole month of live TJPW shows, which is one lovely spooky season treat. Not that any of them are designed to make you jump, at least not yet. I’ve watched enough horror films to know that something scary could pop up at any moment, so I’m never going to rule it out. Anyway, I’ll stop blabbering nonsense and get on with the rambles.

It’s finally time for Wrestle Princess. TJPW’s biggest show of what has been an incredible year for the company, no matter what some people on Twitter might have decided. This card was packed with special guests and amazing match-ups, so I’m going to stop with the boring bit, and get into it. Away we go!

I would love to know who comes up with the Tokyo Joshi show names. What made them decide on this part of the tour being labelled, ‘The Bullet’? It seems awfully violent for a company that generally goes with things like ‘Winter Lovers’ and ‘Change the Wind Direction’. Is this what happens when Itoh goes to AEW and spends time with those people?

Saturday morning Tokyo Joshi is one of life’s great pleasures. Waking up on the weekend to watch some good wrestling feels right, and Tokyo Joshi usually provides it. Did this show continue the trend? Well, I guess you should read my review and find out.

I know 2020 has been a hell year that went on forever, but I also can’t quite believe it’s nearly over. It’s simultaneously crawled and sprinted past as this is Tokyo Joshi’s final live showing before the January 4th Korakuen as everything else will be going out on a tape delay. That means this will probably be the last time I review them in 2020, so let’s go out on a high.

At the end of a long, shitty week, few things cheer me up as much as some Tokyo Joshi. Their latest show had an intriguing main event, as Kamiyu stepped up to defend the International Title for the first time, taking on a somewhat unproven challenger in Mahiro. It was a big moment for the two of them, so let’s find out how they did.

Coming off one of the shows of the year, Tokyo Joshi were back in Shinkiba for a somewhat more subdued affair. It’s still TJPW, though, so I can almost guarantee we’re in for a pleasant couple of hours.

For the first time since lockdown ended, we have a Tokyo Joshi show with a couple of announced matches! It’s time for Raku to finally step into her role as a main eventer while the two Yukis do battle over the right to face Yuka. Gosh, that could get confusing, couldn’t it?

It feels like a million years since we’ve had a Tokyo Joshi show and my God am I glad to have them back. Few things fill me with as much joy as a couple of hours spent with TJPW, so let’s stop blathering and start watching.

I haven’t stopped feeling weird about Japanese companies going back to hosting live wrestling shows, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy having the Up Up Girls kick off a show. Tokyo Joshi was back in front of fans and, to celebrate, were giving us the next chapter in the feud of the year. Misgivings or not, it’s hard not to enjoy that.
