TJPW Princess Cup (23/7/22) Review

Unfortunately, Mizuki got ill before this show, causing her to drop out of the Princess Cup (sending Shoko Nakajima into the next round) and Koda to do some tweaking. Thankfully, it’s not COVID, and she should be back sooner rather than later, but fingers crossed she’s feeling alright. Less importantly, it throws a spanner into my Cup predictions. As much as I have Miu down to win this thing, I assumed that Mizuki would beat Shoko, earning herself a future (probably successful) title shot. Now, who knows what’s going to go down (yes, I have decided I was right about that), but I’m looking forward to finding out.

TJPW’s third show in three days kicked off the second round of the Princess Cup, and everyone’s legs must have been starting to feel heavy. The show must go on, though, and with the cup matches featuring God vs Ace and idol vs idol, this had the potential to be a good one. Let’s find out if it was.

TJPW Summer Sun Princess ’22 (9/7/22) Review

I can’t imagine anyone reading this is interested in my private life, but I spent the last five days in a field, baking in the sun, drinking too much beer and watching loads of live music, so to say I’m a bit frazzled is an understatement. Therefore, if this is even more nonsensical than usual, you have to forgive me because that’s the law. And yes, I could have waited a day or two, but I was desperate to watch this show and didn’t want to.

TJPW Spring Tour (15/5/22) Review

After their packed Golden Week, TJPW understandably took a week off to recharge. However, with CyberFight Festival less than a month away, it was time for them to back out there and start the build for that. Unfortunately, Yuka is still in America, so we’ll have to wait to see her and Shoko face off, but plenty of other people were around to pick up the slack.

TJPW Go Go Do It (5/5/22) Review

Well, I guess it’s nice to be loved. Credit: TJPW

TJPW finished up their busy Golden Week with a trip to Osaka. With it being a journey they only make a handful of times a year, they always make an effort to bring something a little special along, and this was no different as they had a couple of big guests and an exciting eight-person tag. Would it make for a great show? Well, let’s find out.

TJPW Yes! Wonderland (3/5/22) Review

Kaiju vs superhero. Credit: TJPW

TJPW’s busy Golden Week continued with the biggest show of the lot, as they hit up a sold-out Korakuen (superhero vs kaiju confirmed draw) for a topsy turvy card. With AEW requesting Yuka Sakazaki’s presence on short notice, MagiRabbi vs Free WiFi was going to have to open this one so she could rush off to the airport, meaning things were all a bit backwards. Still, no matter what order the matches come in, it was TJPW in Korakuen, a combo that rarely misses.
