Okay, even by DDT/TJPW standards, that name is unusual. I’m assuming it’s something that doesn’t translate properly? It’s quite the mouthful either way.

The build to January 4th is now well on its way in Tokyo Joshi as they begin to ramp things up ahead of their big show. We had a bunch of opponents facing off on this one as well as the next chapter in the Misao story, so I reckon we should get down to it.

I’ve been overdosing on Tag League recently, so the chance to watch some wrestling that I knew I’d enjoy was a much-needed relief. We’re approaching the end of the year and, more importantly for TJPW, the start of the next one which brings with it their big January 4th show. The build to that started here so, if like me, you’re going to be there, you can begin to get excited.

Strap yourself in folks, because with approximately fourteen million matches on this card and a billion wrestlers, DDT’s trip to Ryogoku is going to be a long one. However, I have every faith it’s going to be a very good one, so don’t let that put you off.

TJPW and DDT are in midst of building to Ultimate Party, and I’ve largely left them to it so far. However, this show had a couple of title matches, so it seemed like the perfect time to drop by and say hi. Although someone needs to have a word with them about the two exclamation marks in the show name, if they go any further, they might slip into insane mind territory.

For Tokyo Joshi’s second day at the brilliantly named KFC Hall they had an International Princess Title defence on top. The first show provided a lot of entertainment without anything incredible happening in the ring, can this one go one better and deliver a great match?

I don’t think my first Tokyo Joshi review was a disaster, so we’re back with number two! Some people were kind and pointed me in the direction of a beginner’s guide/passed on some information, so I want to say thanks to them. That’s much better than being shouted at for being an idiot. By the way, I enjoyed that first show so much that I’m now going to the January 4th Korakuen now, so that’s something.

After talking about doing so for forever, I have finally subscribed to DDT Universe. That means you can probably expect reviews of Tokyo Joshi Pro and DDT going forward, plus anything else that catches my eye. I’m going into these promotions with little to fuck all knowledge of how things stand, so don’t expect anything detailed to begin with, but we’ll get there eventually. If you’re a hardcore fan maybe leave it a few reviews because I’ll most likely annoy you at the beginning.
