Wow, March was a packed month for wrestling. We got Stardom in Budokan, Assemble Volume 3, ChocoPro 100 and more, which has made for a varied and all over the place list. Not that I’m complaining. The more great wrestling that is going on, the better, and I had plenty to get my teeth into.Continue reading “Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for March 2021”
Guess what, folks? I was smart this month. Rather than waiting for the 31st to hurriedly throw this together, I wrote it as we went. How fucking sensible is that? You may no3 call me a grown-up. There was plenty to write about too, as we’ve got a bit of deathmatch, a load of nonsense and even some straight-ahead wrestling, what will they think of next?Continue reading “Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches Of October 2020”
Are you ready to Fall in Love with D? Let’s all fall in love with D together. Sorry, couldn’t resist. One should be serious about a show headlined by Sareee vs Yoshiko because we all know that’s gonna be violent. The D is getting stiff (last one, I promise).Continue reading “SEAdLINNNG Fall In Love With D! (29/9/20) Review”
On their fifth anniversary, SEAdLINNNG made the exciting decision to air the show live on YouTube, one that I like to imagine was inspired by Nanae’s recent ChocoTalk where she was stunned to discover people all over the world were tuning in. Whether that’s the case or not, any chance to watch SEAd live on an easily accessible platform is a good thing. Now, let’s see how they did.Continue reading “SEAdLINNNG 5th Anniversary (26/8/20) Review”
The Korakuen returns continue as it’s SEAdLINNNG’s chance to step into that iconic room. Although it’s worth saying that this happened before the other Korakuens I’ve recently written about, it just aired later. Still, that’s not particularly important, and with a big title challenge on top, it promised to be a good show.Continue reading “SEAdLINNNG Close To You (13/7/20) Review”
In light of what’s come out over the last few days, I want to kick this off by saying that I believe victims. I have nothing but respect for those who are brave enough to speak out against abusers in wrestling and will strive to do anything I can to help. In the past, I’ve described wrestling as my safety blanket, the thing that allows me to hide from the world and feel something. That anyone could have that feeling taken away from that at the hands of some sick fuck breaks my heart and makes me furious at the same time. Wrestling can and should be better. If we have to burn it down to make that a reality, then let’s grab the matches.
There is no good way to segue from that into my nonsense, so I’m not even going to try for smoothness.
As wrestling floods back into Japan, SEAdLINNNG is coming back hot, kicking things off right where they left them. Sure, there weren’t any fans there, but ASUKA and Arisa were still going to war, and that sounds like a shitload of fun.Continue reading “SEAdLINNNG Delivered To You! (13/6/20) Review”
If you thought yesterday’s Ice Ribbon review was a bit out of date, here’s a show from March. Normally, I wouldn’t bother with this over a month later, but SEAdLINNNG are unlikely to be running shows anytime soon, and they threw it up on YouTube so, why not? Plus, it’s nice to watch something relatively new where there are at least a handful of fans in attendance.Continue reading “SEAdLINNNG Shin-Kiba (23/3/20) Review”
March 2020 might be the month the wrestling died, but there was still a remarkable amount of the stuff despite that sad state of affairs. There was certainly more than enough to make up my monthly top ten, and if you’re looking for something to pass the time, well, I guess you better read on because that might not be the case in April.Continue reading “Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches of March 2020”
Yes, Japanese wrestling has ground to a halt outside of a handful of empty arena shows, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still things for me to ramble on about! First up is SEAdLINNNG’s show from earlier this month, which took place in a time where crowds were still allowed. Quick reminder, this is only the second SEAdLINNNG review I’ve done, so if I make any mistakes/miss anything out, please let me know.Continue reading “SEAdLINNNG New Leaf! (10/3/20) Review”
Having already dived into Ice Ribbon this year I’ve decided to go a step further and try out SEAdLINNNG as well. That means this is another review where I’m coming in with little to no background knowledge, so please be kind, but also feel free to point out any mistakes in the comments. I’m always happy to learn.
You’ll also notice that I’ve decided to ditch star ratings. It’s something I’ve been considering for a while and now felt like the right time.Continue reading “SEAdLINNNG 5th Anniversary The Year Accelerates Even Hotter! (24/1/20) Review”
