I believe this was the first wrestling show at the new Yokohama Budokan, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Either way, Stardom had packed the card, with all the important titles up for grabs, a unit certain to disband and a couple of mystery opponents. It’s been a sad week in the world of Tokyo Joshi as both Natsupoi and Mina have announced they will be leaving the company. As of writing, we don’t know where they’re headed next, but they’ll certainly be missed in TJPW. Still, the show must go on, and at the very least, let’s hope they get a good farewell.

They’re back! It’s not quite how Tokyo Joshi planned to bring all of this to a close, but with shows cancelled due to positive COVID tests, it’s the way it’s happening. The Princess Cup was being finished up all in one day with, outside of the champ, arguably the four biggest stars in the company leftover. Who was going to take it home? Well, my pre-show money was on Mizuki, and I swear I wrote that before watching.

You wait all summer for a tournament to come along and suddenly they’re all fucking here at once! Up first, at least from my point of view, is the Princess Cup, Tokyo Joshi’s attempt to find their next title contender. It’s elimination-style with the entirety of the first round (some people are seeded and come in at round-two) happening on one show. What went down? Well, if you don’t already know, I guess now is the time to find out.
