I need to deliver a slight disclaimer before we get started. My first watch of this match was on the train home from a Napalm Death gig where I’d drunk around five pints. Understandably, I was in a rare jolly mood, which may have influenced my feelings towards it. However, I have since rewatched it, and I largely stand by my original thoughts, so fuck it. If my opinions on wrestling can’t be influenced by one of the greatest bands of all time, what can they be influenced by? And surely the ideal way to watch Baka Gaijin is while slightly intoxicated? I was merely getting in the mood.

Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for March 2023

Even when you remove the start of WrestleMania Weekend (which came too late to make this list), March was a packed month for wrestling. TJPW ran their biggest venue yet, Gatoh Move celebrated their 300th show, Takumi Iroha returned to Marvelous and Ice Ribbon, well, Ice Ribbon did a lot of stuff. Good and bad, it was a busy old time, and there were plenty of great matches to get our teeth into.

Ice Ribbon RE:BORN (20/2/21) Review

It is time for Ice Ribbon to be RE:BORN! This time last year, it was RE:BORN that kicked off Suzu Suzuki’s run to the title as she retired chirin chirin and went off to live in the woods for a bit. A year on and Suzu is reinventing herself again, as having lost the belt to Tsukka she is off to the deathmatches. The more things change, the more they kinda stay the same.
