I don’t know if it’s just me, but May’s felt like a long old month. Maybe it’s because I’ve actually been able to do some stuff for the first time since March last year, and that’s exhausted me. Seeing other people is hard, you know? Anyway, enough about me because there has also been plenty of wrestling to enjoy, and that’s probably why you’re here.

WAVE Saturday Night Fever (15/5/21) Review

WAVE isn’t a promotion I’ve ever gone in deep on before, as the somewhat erratic nature of how easy their shows are to watch has meant I’ve only dipped my toes into the water. However, it’s Catch The Wave season, kicking off with the ‘Young’ side of the tournament, and I figured why not? If I’m going to jump in, I might as well do it now.

Assemble (1/10/20) Review

Joshi Assemble! There was always going to have to be a response from the smaller wrestling companies to the effects of COVID and, in a heartening move, joshi decided the best way to deal with it was together. Assemble might be more of a showcase for the different companies involved rather than an inter-promotional supershow, but it is still easy to get excited about. Throwing matches from Oz Academy, Sendai Girls, Pure-J, SEAdLINNNG, Marvelous and T-Hearts (even if we’re not quite sure what that is yet) together sounds like a jolly good time, no matter how it’s done.
