Marvelous (28/6/21) Review

With GAEAISM in the books, it’s arguable that the real challenge for Marvelous starts now. They’ve built up a lot of momentum over the last six months or so, and having it all peter out in the aftermath of what was an incredible show would be a real shame. They need to keep going, and this is their first chance to convince people to stay invested in one of the best companies going.

Ice Ribbon After The Rain, Ribbon ~ Goodbye Our Matsuya Uno (27/6/21) Review

Credit: Ice Ribbon

Ice Ribbon have been nailing the show titles this year, and this one is particularly lovely. This show was about saying goodbye to Matsuya Uno, finishing off Suzu’s trial series and watching Risa and Rina go to war once more. How’s that for a packed show?

TJPW Stand Proud (26/6/21) Review

Time to get kicky. Credit: TJPW

On the week that Sakisama went viral and a million voices screamed out ‘step on me’, it seems only fitting that she makes her challenge for the Princess of Princess title. While I’m not entirely sure that’s a long-term way to get more people interested in Tokyo Joshi, horniness is a powerful drug, and I can only imagine there was at least a handful of people tuning in for the first time, hoping to catch a glimpse of their new favourite French aristocrat. DDT King of DDT 1st Round (10/6/21) Review

Not the best spot to be in. Credit: DDT

With CyberFest behind them (which I didn’t review but is well worth the afternoon it will take to watch), it’s time for the King Of DDT. I love the simplicity of a knockout tournament, especially one with lots of good wrestlers in it (although the cowards didn’t put Saki in) and with a whopping eights singles matches on this show, there is plenty to get our teeth into.

Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for May 2021

Where has Raku gone? Credit: TJPW

I don’t know if it’s just me, but May’s felt like a long old month. Maybe it’s because I’ve actually been able to do some stuff for the first time since March last year, and that’s exhausted me. Seeing other people is hard, you know? Anyway, enough about me because there has also been plenty of wrestling to enjoy, and that’s probably why you’re here.

WAVE Saturday Night Fever (15/5/21) Review

A nice summing up of the main event. Credit: WAVE

WAVE isn’t a promotion I’ve ever gone in deep on before, as the somewhat erratic nature of how easy their shows are to watch has meant I’ve only dipped my toes into the water. However, it’s Catch The Wave season, kicking off with the ‘Young’ side of the tournament, and I figured why not? If I’m going to jump in, I might as well do it now.
