I’m not going to try and hide it: this review is late. Over a month late to be precise. New Japan did that thing they do and put on a big old tournament which distracted me. However, I’ve reviewed every big wXw show so far this year, and goddamnit I’m going to keep going. Prepare yourself for some cold takes.
wXw We Love Wrestling Tour: London Review
Earlier this month, wXw’s We Love Wrestling tour left the confines of Germany and took a trip over to London. There, they put together a card that could have been billed as wXw vs Progress. I’ve mentioned before that I think more indie companies should work together, so that relationship can only be a good thing, especially if it means we get shows like this.

wXw 16 Carat Gold Night Three Review

And we’re finally here! Let’s pretend that 16 Carat wasn’t nearly a month ago and that my review is still relevant to anyone who isn’t me (wait till I cover some of the other stuff I have to catch up on). If you don’t want to pretend, screw you. I’m doing it anyway. The last day gave us the final alongside a handful of title matches which should be more than enough to keep us entertained. Let’s dish out some stars.
wXw Ambition 9 Review

Ambition is a shoot style tournament meaning you can only win by submission or knockout while rope breaks are instantaneous. Everyone involved has a legit background and judging by past results it is presented as being in its own little world, taking place outwith the regular storylines and pushes of wXw.
Before I get into reviewing it, I want to make it clear that while I watch a bit of MMA, I am not an expert on this stuff. I’m looking at it from a wrestling fan’s point of view. Cool with that? Good. Let’s dish out some stars.
wXw 16 Carat Gold Night Two Review
Night two and, well, we’re far enough away from the night that we all know what’s going down. There’s a massive return in our future, and we should probably get on with it. Let’s dish out some stars.
wXw 16 Carat Gold 2018 Night One Review

After a long old wait, it’s finally time for me to dive into 16 Carat Gold. I’ve been looking forward to it and the first day is packed with exciting match-ups, which means I’m not going to delay any further. Let’s dish out some stars.
wXw The Inner Circle 5 Review

With the New Japan Cup sucking up so much of my time, it’s taken me longer than I would have liked to get to wXw’s 16 Carat weekend. Judging purely by Twitter, it appears that everyone there had an absolute blast and not just because they were getting drunk in Germany. They kicked things off at Inner Circle 5 with all sorts of sexy match-ups. Let’s dish out some stars. Continue reading “wXw The Inner Circle 5 Review”
wXw Road To 16 Carat 2018 Review
Screw WrestleMania, we’re on the road to 16 Carat Gold now. I assume it’s a different road to the one that goes to ‘Mania. If it’s not, I hope wXw are able to avoid all the obstacles that tend to get in WWE’s way. Otherwise, this is going to be stressful.
Anyway, there is one spot left in the tournament and wXw are tournament crazy, so they’re having a tournament to qualify for the tournament. How many times can I say tournament? TOURNAMENT! Let’s dish out some stars.
wXw Dead End XVII Review
With 16 Carat drawing ever closer, things are heating up in wXw. Dead End promised to shape the landscape of the company heading into the big tourney as all the belts were on the line. Will we see a host of new champions or will the status quo be maintained? Let’s dish out some stars.
wXw Back to the Roots XVII Review

Going into a new promotion for the first time is an exciting thing as a wrestling fan. You never know what you’re going to get and while there will probably be a few familiar faces, there’s going to be a handful you’ve never seen before. Which brings us nicely to my first dive into wXw.
With wrestling doing well all over the place it’s perhaps no surprise that Germany has followed along. It’s always been a stronghold of European graps and with the likes of Walter chopping the shit out of people over there how can you not to be enticed into having a look? What better time to start than with their first big show of the year. Let’s dish out some stars.
