I swear it was only a week or so ago that I was putting together this list for the end of September, but here we are, the spookiest month of the year is in the bag, and alongside watching a shitload of horror films, I did find some time for wrestling. It ended up being quite a busy month, what with TJPW and Stardom running big events, the G1 ending (I didn’t watch it, but people still care) and AEW continuing to make things enjoyable in America. So, what did I watch and, more importantly, what did I enjoy? Time to find out.Continue reading “Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for October 2021”
September is behind us, and I’m starting to think that this year will never slow down. Still, whether the days are speeding past or not, there is always wrestling to watch and rambles to be had, so here’s my round-up of my favourite matches from the last month. Enjoy!Continue reading “Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for September 2021”
If wrestling keeps being so great, I am going to have to ditch the top-ten element of this and make it even more rambling because there are at least another ten matches that I would like to have on this list. That doesn’t even take into account the Ice Ribbon that I need to catch up on! (I still haven’t seen Suzu vs Maya, hence its exclusion, I’m sure it’s great.) Gosh darn it, there is too much wrestling. Oh well, there are worse problems to have.Continue reading “Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches of June 2020”
The doors might be locked, but DDT is still going to give us a Peter Pan, and, in a totally original idea, it’s too big for one day. Our first slice of that cake was the more, em, over the top one? I think that’s fair to say when you take the main event into account. However, if you’re not down for that, you’re probably watching the wrong company.Continue reading “DDT Wrestle Peter Pan (6/6/20) Review”
Before going any further, I feel it needs to be said that I, and by extension this website, believe that black lives matter. I am fully behind every protester in America or anywhere else in the world who is standing up for their right to live. This might not be the biggest platform, but it is one, so I implore that you provide support in whatever way you can and also to listen, listen to the people affected by this shit and learn from it. Someone like me can never fully understand it, but we can try.
Feels a bit trite to move from that into me spewing my nonsense about some matches I like, but oh well, here we go.Continue reading “Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches Of May 2020”
Hey everyone, after a week off it’s time to get back to the joys of rambling about pro-wrestling. This has been a tough time for more reason than one, and it isn’t something that I’ll be able to put behind me easily, but I want to reiterate that be you old friend or total stranger, the need to talk is common to us all, and I’m very easy to contact.
Anyway, let’s move on from the serious stuff and go find out what’s happening in DDT.Continue reading “DDT TV Show Episode 5 (30/5/20) Review”
DDT Universe has rebranded! With the addition of NOAH, not to mention the numerous other companies available on it, they’ve become Wrestle Universe. A name that’s perhaps not their most inventive moment, but it gets to the point. Honestly, it’s probably the best value streaming service out there, so if you’re not signed up to it, get on that.Continue reading “DDT TV Show Episode 3 (16/5/20) Review”
Saturday morning wrestling (if you live in the UK) feels right, doesn’t it? DDT’s new weekly TV show is filling a niche I didn’t realise needed to be filled, but I’m glad to have it and, after a hot first week, let’s hope number two is just as good.Continue reading “DDT TV Show Episode 2 (9/5/20) Review”
DDT is back! You can’t keep a bunch of goofs down for long, so it’s no surprise that they’re returning behind closed doors to give us what they’re promising will be a weekly television show. Is that smart? No, probably not. However, if they’re going to do it, I’m going to watch, and as I’ve said before, no-one is better suited for dealing with weird times than DDT.Continue reading “DDT TV Show Episode 1 (2/5/20) Review”
The world is fucking weird at the moment and, as of today, I don’t have a job, so if you like my rambles, get ready to see a lot more of them. With that weirdness, there are suddenly a lot of people with a hella lot of time on their hands. Now, I don’t normally do listicles on this website because, well, why would I? I spent some time in the trenches of making money by writing for WhatCulture, and it ain’t much fun. However, what better way to spend all that free time than by getting into everyone’s favourite pseudo-sport, wrassling! Usually, when people try to get you into wrestling, they’ll go straight to WWE. There is a decent chance they’ll show you Mick Foley being thrown off a cage because of the wrestling fan’s innate need to prove it’s not fake. However, that’s dumb, and WWE sucks. So, I’ve decided to put together a list of matches, all of which you can watch for free, that might tempt you to fall in love with this world that gives me so much joy.Continue reading “Some Matches That Might Convince You To Watch Wrestling”
