Top Ten Films of the Year

This is a bit of a spoiler for the list.

I’ve spent a lot of time scoffing at people’s declarations that 2016 has been a bad year for cinema. While there is no denying that Batman vs. Superman, Suicide Squad, X-Men and a few other blockbusters were utter balls, there have been more fantastic movies outside of that world than there has bad in it. In fact, this is one of the toughest top tens I’ve ever come up with and if ten were a bigger number films like The Witch, Rogue One, Spotlight, Your Name, Creed,  Bone Tomahawk, Adult Life Skills and more would have found their way into it. Sadly it’s not, and these are my chosen ten. As usual, this is my ten favourites which are different from the ten best and is based on UK release dates. It is also opinion so while you can feel free to tell me I’m wrong, don’t expect me to care.

Roadblock

Best friends reunited.

It’s the end of the line and quite possibly the end of WWE’s fan patience when it comes to 2016’s PPVs. There are a lot of pointless WWE events, but Roadblock is battling out for that top spot and has seen 2016 flutter out like a deflating balloon. So, with that in mind, today’s review is going to be split into two sections. PPV Worthy and Raw Worthy. Let’s see how much of this show needed to be filmed on a Sunday night.

Football Manager 2017

Aren’t they a lovely group of lads.

Another year, another Football Manager and another time sink that will take up well over a hundred hours of my life. My Football Manager addiction has been covered before, and I can reliably inform you that it hasn’t worn off, yet. Which brings us to the newest addition in the franchise, the unsurprisingly named Football Manager 2017. So the question is, how good is it?
