On their fifth anniversary, SEAdLINNNG made the exciting decision to air the show live on YouTube, one that I like to imagine was inspired by Nanae’s recent ChocoTalk where she was stunned to discover people all over the world were tuning in. Whether that’s the case or not, any chance to watch SEAd live on an easily accessible platform is a good thing. Now, let’s see how they did.

Bakuha Koshien is the Explosion Deathmatch side-project of Atsushi Onita and Sanshiro Takagi. It’s not actually a DDT show, but DDT is helping them out, hence the presence of a fair few of their wrestlers on the undercard. While I believe the original vision was for Onita to take Explosion Deathmatches around the world, COVID has made that difficult, so we’re getting a Bunkhouse Scramble in Korakuen instead. You’ll accept it, and you’ll enjoy it!

Episode nine of AJW Classics has four matches from the same show as we’re going back to December 12th 1985. There are two big titles showdowns and a retirement to get through, so let’s not waste any more time.

While their wee sister has had the Princess Cup shuffled around because of COVID, DDT was lucky enough to avoid that fate. They were able to come to Korakuen and see the King of DDT home, giving us a hint of what to expect at Ultimate Party at the same time.

Sadly, 2020 Stardom has been forced to cancel a bunch of shows after another positive COVID test. Fingers crossed those infected are fine, and they’ll be back sooner rather than later. Thankfully, in 2011, the show goes on! We’re once again taking a trip outside of Tokyo, returning to Chiba for what was, hopefully, a good time.

The last couple of weeks have had too many shows and too many tournaments, making it impossible to ramble about all of them. With that in mind, I decided that rather than going through the first three rounds of the King of DDT match by match, I was going to pick out the best ones and focus on them.

We’re onto Episode Eight of AJW Classics, so we’ll definitely get to the end at some point in 2050. It’s another Crush Gals vs Gokuaku Domei heavy show, but we’re not about to complain about that, are we?

It was a rough weekend for joshi as the dreaded virus forced both Stardom and TJPW to cancel shows. We did get one before the shit hit the fan, though, and it was the quarter-finals of the Princess Cup. I guess it’s time to see how that went down.

Emi Sakura has been wrestling for twenty-five years. That’s longer than some of modern-day joshi’s biggest stars have been alive and covers a period where the scene has changed in countless ways. In that time, Emi has been an erratic constant. Despite having worked for some of the biggest companies and alongside the biggest stars, Sakura-san has ultimately ploughed her own path, doing things in a way that only she could.

The 5STAR rolled into day two as it appears that Stardom have basically set up camp in Korakuen. I guess having Bushiroad bankroll you brings with it certain advantages, eh? Anyway, enough of my blabbing, onto the matches.
