It’s Night Four of the New Japan Cup, and I’m sure everyone is as excited as I am to get rowdy during Toru Yano vs Davey Boy Smith Jr. Quite frankly, if that comes in at under four stars, I will eat my hat (disclaimer: that is not a promise). Jokes aside, I’ve been enjoying these shows so far. As I write this, I’ve just finished watching Fastlane so it can’t be worse than that. Let’s dish out some stars.

Day three of the New Japan Cup and on paper, tonight’s matches look like the most exciting so far. Even the one that has YOSHI-HASHI in it has a certain Kota Ibushi to make up for his lack of charisma. Throw in Zack Sabre Jr’s war against Naito’s hat, and we’re onto a winner. Sixteen years, it might not be quite as impressive as NJPW’s forty-six, but it’s still a decent inning for Ring of Honor. A hell of a lot has changed since they started back in 2002 and the only people still around are The Briscoes and Christopher Daniels. Although if you have a peek at that card, a few of them have gone on to do quite impressive things. I guess we’ll see if this new generation can do the same. Let’s dish out some stars.
It’s the last of the final stops on the Road to WrestleMania, and we are in buzzword central. WWE is making sure that it is impossible for you to not realise that the big show is around the corner and they ain’t going for subtle. They will beat you round the head with that sign if they have to. Let’s dish out some stars.
It’s New Japan Cup time. I don’t like to think about last year’s edition as it led to the retirement of one of my favourites. However, Shibata did deliver the match of his life at Sakura Genesis. Let us hope that we keep that element and ditch the career-destroying injury. Let’s dish out some stars.

The second night of Champion Gate saw the big belt on the line as Ben-K attempted to follow up on his two-minute victory over the champ. Elsewhere, the more eccentric members of the Dragon Gate roster continue to annoy ANTIAS as Susumu and Horiguchi challenge for the Twin Gate title. All sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

It’s New Japan’s 46th Anniversary and to celebrate the occasion, they’ve put together a sexy little card for us. The main event leaps off the page as Okada and Ospreay go face to face for the first time since the RevPro fight that played a part in getting Ospreay signed. Throw in Makabe challenging for the Intercontinental Title, a Junior tag three-way and a handful of other singles matches (although one does include Taichi), and we look set for fun. Let’s dish out some stars.
Dragon Gate moves onto their Champion Gate tour with the first event headlined by a brace of titles matches. I’m feeling more at home in Dragon Gate with every show, and they’re becoming one of my favourite promotions. Hopefully, that will continue to be the case.
