DDT TV Show Episode 3 (16/5/20) Review

DDT Universe has rebranded! With the addition of NOAH, not to mention the numerous other companies available on it, they’ve become Wrestle Universe. A name that’s perhaps not their most inventive moment, but it gets to the point. Honestly, it’s probably the best value streaming service out there, so if you’re not signed up to it, get on that.

Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches of April 2020

Well, this is going to be a different match of the month list, isn’t it? To say there hasn’t been much wrestling going on is somewhat underselling the point because there has been fuck all wrestling going on. Well, that’s not strictly true. Technically, WrestleMania happened this month, but we all know I didn’t watch that. However, I have managed to get together ten of my favourite matches and let’s just say that you might spot a theme.

Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches of March 2020

Spoiler. Credit: TJPW

March 2020 might be the month the wrestling died, but there was still a remarkable amount of the stuff despite that sad state of affairs. There was certainly more than enough to make up my monthly top ten, and if you’re looking for something to pass the time, well, I guess you better read on because that might not be the case in April.

DDT Judgement (20/3/20) Review

How badass is Sakaguchi? Credit: DDT

What’s that in the stands? Is it… is it fans? Alright, so the last two shows I reviewed both had a live audience, but allow me my joke, please? DDT has returned to Korakuen Hall and opened up the doors to their adoring public. Is it perhaps too early for them to be doing this? Hm, maybe, but that’s not really for me to say. Instead, I’m going to sit back and enjoy some new wrestling from one of my favourite companies.

I assume this will entice you all in. Credit: DDT

The world is fucking weird at the moment and, as of today, I don’t have a job, so if you like my rambles, get ready to see a lot more of them. With that weirdness, there are suddenly a lot of people with a hella lot of time on their hands. Now, I don’t normally do listicles on this website because, well, why would I? I spent some time in the trenches of making money by writing for WhatCulture, and it ain’t much fun. However, what better way to spend all that free time than by getting into everyone’s favourite pseudo-sport, wrassling! Usually, when people try to get you into wrestling, they’ll go straight to WWE. There is a decent chance they’ll show you Mick Foley being thrown off a cage because of the wrestling fan’s innate need to prove it’s not fake. However, that’s dumb, and WWE sucks. So, I’ve decided to put together a list of matches, all of which you can watch for free, that might tempt you to fall in love with this world that gives me so much joy.

DDT Valentine Itabashi Series (1/2/20) Review

Briefcases are dumb. Credit: DDT

DDT is still dishing out Anytime Anywhere contracts, which makes it worth dipping into these shows just to see where they end up. On their trip to Itabashi, there were three more up for grabs, while Sasaki still has a sword, so you know that we’re guaranteed some chaos. Can you risk missing out on the moment where that all goes wrong?

DDT Sweet Dreams (25/1/20) Review

MAO was having fun. Credit: DDT

DDT’s second trip to Korakuen of 2020 brought with it a hell of a card. We’ve got our first big title defence of the year, the dishing out of some Anytime Anywhere contracts and a tag title showdown featuring an odd couple. Throw in Marufuji in singles action and the debut of a new faction, and I can’t imagine not having a lovely time. Let’s find out if I’m right, shall we?
