After a short break, DDT have decided to revive the TV Show they were running during the worst of lockdown in Japan. Taking place in what appears to be an actual studio, I believe it’s going to be filmed twice a month and kicked off with Yoshimura challenging Brookes for the Universal Title.

Bakuha Koshien is the Explosion Deathmatch side-project of Atsushi Onita and Sanshiro Takagi. It’s not actually a DDT show, but DDT is helping them out, hence the presence of a fair few of their wrestlers on the undercard. While I believe the original vision was for Onita to take Explosion Deathmatches around the world, COVID has made that difficult, so we’re getting a Bunkhouse Scramble in Korakuen instead. You’ll accept it, and you’ll enjoy it!

Yes, it’s late, but it’s always late, so let’s not waste time on that. Here’s my rundown of the best wrestling I watched in November. As always, if you saw something better, let me know! The more wrestling, the better.

DDT’s final trip to Korkauen before the D-OH Grand Prix kicked off (because I definitely need more tournament wrestling to watch) handed Yuki Iino a big chance as he went after HARASHIMA. How did he get on? Well, give the review a read to find out.

Strap yourself in folks, because with approximately fourteen million matches on this card and a billion wrestlers, DDT’s trip to Ryogoku is going to be a long one. However, I have every faith it’s going to be a very good one, so don’t let that put you off.

I’ve been trying to decide how much DDT review, as they do run a fair amount of shows. For the moment, I’m going to stick to the big ones so as to not overload on wrestling, but let me know if you think it’s worth doing it all. Either way, I will throw in a shout out for their recent Campsite Wrestling. It’s the first time I’ve been able to watch a whole one of those, and it was a shitload of fun. I would have reviewed that, but where do you fucking start? Anyway, on with this one.

Having done such a wonderful job with my TJPW review (by which I mean no-one has actively shouted at me, although someone did very kindly point me in the direction of a beginner’s guide to the company), I’m back with my first DDT review. Well, that’s not strictly true, I reviewed their show in America. It’s my first of a Japanese DDT show, and not one of you gives a shit about this, so let’s get on with it.

As it is WrestleMania Weekend and I’m drunk, I’m bashing these reviews out and not really editing them (yes, I usually edit). If an incoherent ramble doesn’t interest you, don’t bother reading them.

WrestleCon kicked off the Friday of ‘Mania weekend with a show that was genius in its simplicity. USA vs The World allowed them to throw a bunch of random guys in the ring and start the day with some fun combinations. Why complicate it further than that?
