This year’s tournament was hella interesting as WWE’s purging of the indies forced Pro Wrestling Guerrilla to dig a bit deeper than usual. Alright, this one is late, I’ll go as far as saying very late seeing as it happened over a month ago. I’ve got it in my head that I can’t miss out on reviewing RevPro shows, so I’m going to do it even if no-one cares. Let’s get on with it.
I would be lying if I said this was a timely review as the show was nearly a month ago. A combination of the New Japan Cup, 16 Carat and everything else that has been going down means I’m only just getting to it. I always enjoy Cockpit shows, so hopefully, it will prove itself to be timeless. Let’s dish out some stars.
After dipping back into ICW last week, I figured why not keep going? Fight Club 71 was filmed in my home city of Edinburgh, but I was on holiday, so I missed it. Thankfully, the internet provides and with a main event involving Chris Renfrew and Mikey Whiplash doing all sorts of horrible things to each other, this was always going to be worth a watch.
