Not many wrestlers can claim to be unbeaten against Meiko Satomura one-on-one, but Chihiro Hashimoto has the honour. With Satomura’s retirement on the horizon, they butted heads one last time. Would Meiko end her career by finally getting one over her prized pupil? Well, this show happened several days ago, so I imagine you already know, but hey, let’s keep the non-existent tension going.

The UK might have spent September doing the political version of loudly shitting itself while screaming and pointing in the opposite direction to distract us, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some great wrestling. This month I go deeper on Stardom than I have in a long time, find a new favourite bear and still have time to talk about a load of other stuff. I love the Cinderella Tournament. The over the top rope nature of its rules makes it such a wonderfully unpredictable event, and while I’m a little disappointed that Stardom has chosen to split it over two days this year, it’s still a highlight of the calendar. I’ve been dipping in and out of the company over the last few months, watching big shows and stuff that sounds interesting, but this was one I was never going to skip.

With this being Giulia’s third anniversary, she was defending against one of her own, Jumbo cashing in her 5STAR victory over the boss.

The 5STAR may have ended mere minutes ago, but Stardom is heading straight into Tag League. Perhaps it’s the short break between the two that has convinced them it’s a good idea for teams in the Red block to wrestle the teams in the Blue block. Make sense to you? Nope, me neither. Oh well, it doesn’t make too much difference, I can never be arsed working out the maths anyway.

I believe this was the first wrestling show at the new Yokohama Budokan, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Either way, Stardom had packed the card, with all the important titles up for grabs, a unit certain to disband and a couple of mystery opponents. By now, you probably know who they were, but just in case, let’s keep the suspense going a bit longer.
