AEW’s first show was widely hailed as a success. Double Or Nothing had the eyes of the wrestling world on it, and this fledgeling company stepped up, but Fyter Fest is a different beast. It’s here. What started as a throwaway comment from Dave Meltzer (dick) on Twitter, somehow ended up being one of the biggest indie shows of all time. 10,000 people, all making their way to Chicago because they trust Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks. They’ve proven they can sell the tickets, create the WrestleMania atmosphere and put a star-studded card together. The only question left was whether they could put on a show worthy of the hype. I guess we should find out.
