Rambles about the wonderful world of wrestling.
The D-Oh is getting ever closer, but before we get to that, it was time for Episode 12 of DDT TV. It was another chance for Eruption to step up to the main event and continue their dominant run with the trios titles. That’s what happened, right?

There is something beautiful in the simple excitement that two promotions going head-to-head generates. It doesn’t even matter than more than a handful of these wrestlers regularly appear in Ice Ribbon or vice-versa, it’s a chance for new match-ups to be made and all the fun that comes with it.
Quick disclaimer, I watch a lot more Ice Ribbon than I do AgZ, so if I make any dumb mistakes, feel free to point them out in the comments.

Coming off one of the shows of the year, Tokyo Joshi were back in Shinkiba for a somewhat more subdued affair. It’s still TJPW, though, so I can almost guarantee we’re in for a pleasant couple of hours.

After being impressed by their showing at Assemble, I’ve spent the last month and a bit binging a whole load of old Marvelous. It’s been a lot of fun, and I figured the perfect follow up was to start rambling about their newer shows. That does mean I should throw the old I’m a noob disclaimer at the front of this, so if I make any obvious mistakes feel free to point them out in the comments.

The big show is behind them, but there is no rest for DDT. Instead, they’re gearing up for the D-Oh and all the slightly deflating wonders that contains. I kid, the line-up might not have lit my fire, but it’s sure to be good. Before we get there, though, it’s back to TV land for episode 11 of the DDT TV Show.

After a long old wait, Tokyo Joshi finally got their big show at Tokyo Dome City Hall. They probably weren’t planning on having it be socially distanced, but a bump in the road shouldn’t ruin the mood, and they’d put together a suitably packed card to celebrate the next step in the company’s growth.

2020’s Ultimate Party might be a bit smaller than 2019’s, COVID meaning that it’s solely DDT turning up to play, but that doesn’t make it any less of a big deal. While their pals may not have been able to make it, DDT are still more than capable of putting together a good shindig.

I managed to avoid the temptation to lock myself into reviewing all of Stardom’s Tag League, but a Korakuen is a Korakuen, and I’m honestly not sure when I last failed to ramble about a Stardom trip there. With this being Giulia’s third anniversary, she was defending against one of her own, Jumbo cashing in her 5STAR victory over the boss.

A slightly strange Korakuen for DDT, as while their monthly trip to that famous old venue is always going to be a big deal, they are building to a bigger one. That means the two main events come from the same feud, the tag titles and the trio belts on the line as Nautilus and Eruption face-off. Two batches of Eruption? Yes, please.

If Ice Ribbon dish up FantastICE matches, I will come. Whether Risa Sera is playing baseball or stabbing someone with something, it’s going to be worth my time, so let’s get to it.
