I’ve written in the past about my love of Football Manager, so unsurprisingly it didn’t take long for me to pick up the newest version when it was released last Friday. Now there is no denying FM is a hard game to review. Something the size of Football Manager can’t be fully explored, without putting many an hour into it, so to reference Total Biscuit, lets say this is more of a first impressions piece, than an actual review. In saying all that, according to Steam I have already put 27 hours into the game. Now I am always very skeptical of Steam’s internal clock, but I spent most of the weekend playing it and I’m into my second season on my ‘testing out the game’ Chelsea save.
Transfer Deadline Day
Yesterday was transfer deadline day. For some a great day, for others one that rivals Christmas and New Year for being anticlimatic. Particularly when you are still waiting around for your team to sign a bloody left back after several seasons of not having one. Not that I’m bitter or anything… Forgetting that momentarily, I thought today would be a good day to have a look back through some of the biggest moves of the day and give my opinion on them.
The Return of the Drog
As a Chelsea fan the return of Didier Drogba is a minefield of emotion. On one hand this is the guy who made our team tick for so many years, he is the perfect Mourinho striker and played a big part in some of the best moments of my Chelsea supporting life. On the other hand, the old saying states you should never go back for a reason.
John Terry – Captain, Leader, Hero

Last weekend John Terry made his 400th league appearance for Chelsea and scored his 34th league goal. This took his Chelsea tally up to 594 appearances and 57 goals. In that time he has won 3 EPL titles, 5 FA Cups, 2 League Cups, 2 Community Shields and has played a part, if not actually playing in the final, in a Champions League and a Europa League title. Yet there are still people who would argue with you whether John Terry is a world class player. Do you know why? Because he’s a cunt. There is no denying that fact, history proves it. However, right here right now, I am going to make the case that that doesn’t matter. And John Terry the footballer still deserves your respect and your admiration.
