I don’t think it’s a stretch to say Dominion was up there with Wrestle Kingdom for expectations coming in. Omega vs Okada IV would have guaranteed that by itself. Throw in Ospreay vs Takahashi, The Bucks vs LIJ, Jericho vs Naito and most people won’t just have their pants around their ankles but will be halfway to completion. Could it possibly live up to such a billing? I guess it’s time to find out.
All In and its success is brilliant for professional wrestling. There is no debating that point. A group of wrestlers have put together a show independent of any promotion and sold 10,000 tickets in under half an hour. I don’t care if they’re known to many because they worked for WWE, ROH or NJPW. I really don’t care if some of those tickets went to touts (they wouldn’t go to touts if the demand didn’t exist). And I certainly don’t care what people think of the ability of the wrestlers involved.

It’s a busy time for New Japan. When the New Japan Cup came to an end, they headed straight to America for Strong Style Evolved and now they’re back in Japan for Sakura Genesis. There is no rest for the wrestlers. Let’s not complain, because Sakura Genesis sees Zack Sabre Jr step into the main event and the latest chapter in the Scurll vs Ospreay feud. The Brits are taking over! Let’s dish out some stars.
Full disclosure, this is the second time I’ve written a review of night two of Honor Rising. The first one vanished from my drafts’ folder, a situation I am not best pleased about. Therefore, with the undercard being a bit unexciting don’t hold it against me if I rush through some of it. We all know why we’re here don’t we? Let’s dish out some stars.

As we prepare to say goodbye to 2017, Ring of Honor is in a weird place. Inside the wrestling bubble, it feels like no one cares. This show had no hype and few people bother with the weekly television. However, business is up. It’s a weird conundrum that suggests us wrestling diehards don’t always know what we’re talking about. RevPro’s last event of the year sees them back at York Hall for a packed card. All the titles are on the line and the famous venus is hosting women’s wrestling for the first time. Let’s dish out some stars.

This was one hell of a card. New Japan’s last major show of the year was stacked, as every title match not involving a bull rope looked like a guaranteed success. Throw in some intrigue over the debut of Switchblade and Wrestle Kingdom beginning to take shape, and this was unmissable. Let’s dish out some stars.
It feels mean to point it out, but Ring of Honor needs New Japan at the moment. Their roster is threadbare, and they are at their best when they are able to pull on NJPW’s talent pool. It’s a sad reality that has turned Global Wars from a cool gimmick into some of their best shows. Noone can pretend that this Chicago event would have been half as successful without the New Japan talent and, in particular, a certain Cleaner making an appearance. Let’s dish out some stars.
