Live music is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Little is more exciting than seeing a band on fire, doing their thing in front of a baying crowd. Therefore, it has to be said that ranking gigs is always kind of difficult, different bands go for different atmospheres. However, I am still going to give it a damn good try.
Crossfaith – Apocalyze
Japan and rock and roll have always gone together. Whether it be Deep Purple’s famous Live in Japan album or Motley Crue going over there and causing chaos, the two have always shared some common ground. Therefore, it seems wrong that very few Japanese bands have ever made it big over this side of the world. This is an issue that Crossfaith are trying to rectify. Already building up a reputation for their incendiary live shows they have now released what is actually their third album, Apocalyze, but is sure to be their biggest.
Download Announcement 4

So Download added another group of bands this week and I figured I might as well keep up my evaluation of the line-up as a whole. It’s also become clear that Sonisphere will be returning with an announcement due on Monday! So look forward to hearing me complaining/celebrating that line up as well. Right now however, we’re heading onto Download street where we now have a couple of second stage headliners as well as some bands fleshing out the lower stages.
