NJPW World Tag League Night Twelve (2/12/18) Review

Yup, that’s what I expected. Credit: NJPW

We’re drawing ever closer to the end of World Tag League 2018, and I shan’t be sad to see it go. It hasn’t been an awful tournament, but I do feel like I’ve put a shitload of time into something that has not affected my life either positively or negatively. That’s a bit sad, isn’t it? Oh dear. Let’s stop thinking and start reviewing.

We have questions! Why has Chuck gone crazy, em, what’s the other one? Okay, let me rephrase that. We have a question! Why has gone Chuck gone crazy? Something tells me we won’t be getting the answer this quickly because NJPW loves a tease. Gosh and indeed darn it.

NJPW World Tag League Night Nine (28/11/18) Review

GOD vs KES… yay? Credit: NJPW

We’re somehow onto night nine of World Tag League which is even more mental when you consider the rest of the world is at fifteen or something daft like that. That’s a lot of shows full of wrestling that most people are never going to think about again. I guess it’s different if you see it live. NJPW World Tag League Night Eight (26/11/18) Review

Another seven-match show from New Japan. That’s a lot of wrestling to get through, or at least it feels like it. In reality, it’s quite a reasonable amount, and by New Japan standards these matches are kept quite short, so I shouldn’t be complaining. It’s unlikely anyone is about to wrestle a thirty-minute draw.

NJPW World Tag League Night Six (24/11/18) Review

Fuck ’em up, Tom. Credit: NJPW

Night six of World Tag League and I suspect I am never going to catch-up with this damn tournament. Still, I reviewed every match of Best of the Super Juniors, the G1 and Super Junior Tag League, so I’m sure as hell not going to fall at the final hurdle. Plenty of people want to read out of date reviews of a mediocre competition, don’t they?

NJPW Destruction in Kobe (23/9/18) Review

The timing on this was sublime. Credit: NJPW

After an underwhelming Destruction tour (the G1 hangover is significant in New Japan), NJPW returns to the feud that built the modern day direction of the company. Okada vs Tanahashi. It doesn’t matter how many times these two do it, it never fails to get the blood pumping. Will Tana keep his spot in the Tokyo Dome? Or will Okada finally extinguish those post-title blues and get back to where he belongs? Time to find out!
