Rambles about the wonderful world of wrestling.
Destruction is a long old tour that generally delivers a shitload of mediocrity elevated by the occasional great match, and that is exactly what we’ve received in 2019. The final night is in Kobe and let’s hope we finish up with more of the great than the mediocre.

Stardom’s second outing from the 16th is the show where everything will finally add up and put us in position for the final night of the 5STAR blocks. We’re going to come out the other side of this with a much clearer idea of who has a shot at winning this thing, and that’s rather exciting.

No offence to those involved, but these matches meant fuck all. Uemura, Coughlin, Tsuji and Richards were playing for pride alone on their final night of Young Lion Cup action, and the main intrigue was whether that would see them drop the intensity.

I’ve reviewed a lot of tournaments this year and the bit that I always find the hardest is coming up with some shite to put up here. This is me solving that problem by moaning about having to write shite up here in lieu of coming up with something, you’re welcome.

With three shows left in the group stage of the 5STAR Grand Prix, we’re finally getting to the point where everyone is going to catch-up and have wrestled the same number of matches (excluding a couple who because of the Utami and Jungle injuries will finish up over these shows in Fukuoka). That means that by the end of the next two reviews, we should have a good idea of who is in line to win this thing. Excited? I am.

The Young Lion Cup is charging towards the finish line as it becomes clearer who is likely to win this thing. There’s still plenty of lovely cub action to go before we get there, so sit back and enjoy the trip.

With the 5STAR drawing ever nearer to the end, Stardom’s second show from Osaka on the 14th was getting serious. We’re getting to the point where people are going to start being eliminated although, sadly, this show would see someone have that happen for all the wrong reasons.

I don’t think my first Tokyo Joshi review was a disaster, so we’re back with number two! Some people were kind and pointed me in the direction of a beginner’s guide/passed on some information, so I want to say thanks to them. That’s much better than being shouted at for being an idiot. By the way, I enjoyed that first show so much that I’m now going to the January 4th Korakuen now, so that’s something.

Alright, even I will admit that this is taking the piss levels of late. I’d feel guilty, but I doubt anyone is sitting around waiting for it, so I’m not going to beat myself up too much. Plus, there has been a shitload of wrestling recently which combined with my life being a bit nuts has put this on the back burner. I do hope my one fan can forgive me.

Another big shout out to the people behind the scenes at Stardom who got these matches up super quick. They ran two shows on the 14th, so I can only assume it was a busy day, and after the kerfuffle at the start of the tournament, they’ve been fantastic at getting things back on track. As for the wrestling itself, the 5STAR’s finishing line is drawing ever closer, but there is still plenty of time for twists and turns before we get there.
