A Friday night in Glasgow seems like a good place for a party, and there aren’t many bands I want to party with more than Against Me. Even in a year where they released an album that I was rather non-plussed with, Against Me sit high on my list of most played. They are a special band who mean a hell of a lot to a wide range of people.

If Black Christmas brings slashing to the holiday season then Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale brings Guillermo Del Toro. A Finnish horror film that was released in 2010 it gives you a Santa that is very different to the Jolly Old Saint Nick we are all used to.
We are into December, and the bells are jingling as we dust off those Christmas classics and pull them out of the cupboard for their yearly viewing. There’s enough good cheer on the TV to make Santa Claus puke, and for a few weeks, we pretend the world is a better place. However, what do you turn to when that cloying feeling of happiness becomes too much? You don’t want to completely give up on that Christmas feeling, but you do fancy seeing some slashing? Enter Black Christmas.
I both love and hate TLC. I love it for the action it brings. I hate it for the careers it shortens. However, with SmackDown on a bit of a roll when it comes to their big shows this was much watch TV, and while the carnage was at times tough to stomach, it was also damn entertaining.
It takes balls to bring one good band out on tour with you. Having two extraordinary groups tag along, well that might be mental. Which means that no matter what my personal opinion towards Pierce The Veil is – they’re not for me – you’ve got to respect them for taking Creeper and letlive. on the road with them. I mean they never stood a chance, but fair play all the same.
The Cruiserweight Classic was brilliant. It not only had match after match of astounding quality but it told stories. From TJ Perkins beating the odds to Jack Gallagher becoming a star. It felt like the start of something special.
