Ramblings About’s Matches of the Month for September 2026

It’s been a tough month. Credit: AEW

September felt like a long month in the world of wrestling. As always, there were a shitload of shows, with some great performances on them. However, we’ve also lost two people far before their time. I can’t sit here and claim to be experts on either Butcher or PAC’s wrestling careers, and there are better people to dive deep on them than me, but they’re both wrestlers I have some sort of connection to. On top of that, they were, by all accounts, decent human beings. It’s hard not to be sad when we lose good ones.

Elsewhere, it was another impressive month for Mio Momono, Emi Sakura put on a masterclass and Reina Takano continues to impress. Enjoy!

AEW Revolution (29/2/20) Review

Cards on the table, I honestly can’t remember the last time I watched Dynamite. Week three? The last AEW show I saw was probably the PPV, but I have kept an eye on what they’ve been up to, and people seem to be enjoying it. While that doesn’t mean Western TV wrestling has stopped being the Devil, I figured I’d tune in for Revolution and give them the chance to convince me otherwise.

WrestleMania Weekend: Joey Janela’s Spring Break 3 Part 1 (5/4/19) Review

As it is WrestleMania Weekend and I’m drunk, I’m bashing these reviews out and not really editing them (yes, I usually edit). If an incoherent ramble doesn’t interest you, don’t bother reading them.

The WrestleCon Supershow is a WrestleMania tradition at this point and, despite having both PAC and a load of Dragon Gate talent pull out this year, you can almost guarantee it will deliver.

WrestleMania Weekend: Beyond Lit Up Review

Lots of people to enjoy there. Credit: Beyond Wrestling

It’s hard to judge where Lit Up sits on the WrestleMania Weekend silliness spectrum. A card of intergender matches taking place at midnight has the potential to go either way. The timing certainly hints towards at least a touch of the ridiculous as I’m guessing most of the audience have had a drink or two. Let’s just say that there’s the potential for all kinds of madness to go down.
