It’s New Japan Cup time. I don’t like to think about last year’s edition as it led to the retirement of one of my favourites. However, Shibata did deliver the match of his life at Sakura Genesis. It’s the PWG show where we don’t know who is going to turn up. Except we have to get it on DVD which means it arrives over a month later, and by that point, we don’t only know the card, but most of the results. However, that’s what you expect from Pro Wrestling Guerilla and we ain’t going to complain. We just hope that the wrestling is good enough to make up for the hassle. Let’s dish out some stars.
I don’t have a huge amount to say here. At Our Best’s card was pretty damn sexy on paper with all of British Strong Style appearing alongside the likes of Mike Bailey and David Starr. The chances of this being a bad show were slim. Let’s dish out some stars.
Another month, another RevPro visit to the Cockpit. February provided us with a packed show featuring seven matches, including an exciting main event between Zack Sabre Jr and Travis Banks. Time to see how they all got on. Let’s dish out some stars.
First up, IÂ apologise for this review being a bit late. Quite frankly there is too much fucking wrestling. I’m not really complaining, I quite like wrestling, but the Disco Derby was behind a few more prominent shows in the queue.
Discovery’s first event of the New Year saw them pull the old indie trick of putting on their own Rumble. While it might not have gone to plan (more on that later), this was a solid card with the potential for some great action. Let’s dish out some stars.
After crowning their inaugural women’s champion, RevPro is back with their first big show of the year. High Stakes had a few friends popping over from Japan alongside an Aussie newcomer. All of which is pretty exciting. Let’s dish out some stars.
RevPro kicked off the year with a terrific show at the Cockpit and came straight back the next night. Live At The Cockpit 25 was wrapping up their women’s tournament and had a few other treats on the card too. How exciting. Let’s dish out some stars.
Night Two of All Star Weekend had a tasty main event. With Ricochet having turned heel and challenged Chuck Taylor following his BOLA victory it was a question of whether he was going to get a run with the PWG Title before heading to WWE. Let’s dish out some stars.
It’s the night after Wrestle Kingdom and all through Korakeun Hall, new stories are stirring and I’ve got nothing more.

If you’re getting into New Japan for the first time, look at New Year Dash as being their Raw after WrestleMania. It’s when NJPW hit the reset button and set up the storylines that are going to take them into the New Year. Which makes it pretty damn exciting. Let’s dish out some stars.
