Stardom Cinderella Tournament 1st Round (29/4/19) Review

It’s time for my first proper Stardom tournament! Well, that’s not technically true, they ran a trios contest in January, but it’s my first big one. Cinderella, which I was genuinely delighted to hear gives the winner, among other things, the right to wear a pretty dress. God, I love wrestling. Anyway, I’m going to split this review up into chunks because otherwise, it will be massive, so here are my thoughts on the first round.

NJPW Wrestling Hi no Kuni (29/4/19) Review

Probably not the best idea, Jay. Credit: NJPW

The Dontaku tour continues to wander on, dishing out good matches every now and then but surrounding them with a shitload of multiman tags. While this card has more points of interest than most, I’m not sure they’re necessarily points that entice. It had potential, but not always of the good variety. Sound like fun?

Hart off!

For a company that produces as much wrestling as they do, WWE/F has had shockingly few Meltzer rated five-star matches over the years. Having conquered Madison Square Garden, New Japan could return home feeling rather proud of themselves. After all, they didn’t hire and fire two twats within the space of a few weeks. Anyway, it’s now business as normal as they hit the road for the Dontaku tour, with a brief stop off at Sengoku Lord. It’s a show with a sneakily good card, so fingers crossed it translates to being even better in reality.

The Listening Booth – Blood Command, Fuzzrod and Show Me The Body

Hello friends, and welcome once again to The Listening Booth. This week’s dive into what I’ve been putting in my ears (via whatever the fuck is going on in my head) is all about new releases. It’s an interesting trio that, as far as I can tell, have nothing in common. While that’s not a problem, it does make it a bit harder to write a snappy into. Hm, guess we could just get on with it? Yes, lets.

Stardom Glory Stars (13/4/19) Review

Credit: Stardom

Stardom may have just made it back from the good old US of A, but there was no time to rest tired bodies. Night two of this weekend was set to be the big one as the Stardom Draft took place, but the first show wasn’t without consequences itself. The main event saw Oedo Tai put their dance up against Queen’s Quest’s masks as one will be lost forever. Which one? Read on to find out.
