For a long time I, and many others, have been saying things like: ‘well, if a wrestler wants to go to WWE, I can’t hold it against them’ or ‘watch it if you must, but you do know there is better wrestling out there, yea?’ Like most, if not all, Western fans, WWE is a part of my history. It’s the thing that made me care about the stuff I write about nearly every day. However, enough is enough. I can no longer sit back and pretend that it’s okay to associate with that company. Hello friends, April was a busy old month for the wrassling, wasn’t it? That little thing called WrestleMania grabbed everyone’s attention for a bit, but it was far from alone. Unfortunately, that means there is a lot of stuff I haven’t watched. I’ve barely scratched the surface of the Champion’s Carnival, and haven’t even got around to watching Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan. As it is WrestleMania Weekend and I’m drunk, I’m bashing these reviews out and not really editing them (yes, I usually edit). If an incoherent ramble doesn’t interest you, don’t bother reading them.
It’s TakeOver time, and while I despise WWE, I love a TakeOver. I do want to make it very clear that while I pay for all the other wrestling I watch, not a penny of mine goes to WWE. Find a way to stream it folks, and fuck that company. Anyway, my hatred of the McMahons aside, this has the potential to be a weekend stealing card although I watched Nick Gage wrestle Swoggle earlier, so they’ll have to smash it out the park to beat that.

I’m a bit behind on the old reviews (I was on holiday, thanks for asking) and before I dive into World Tag League, it’s time to catch up with the only WWE worth watching. It doesn’t matter what’s on the card, NXT has yet to deliver an awful TakeOver, and it’s unlikely this will be the show to dampen that momentum.
Mae Young Classic 2018 Episode 6 Review
Round two of the Mae Young Classic is coming to an end just a week after it started. Feels a bit quick, doesn’t it? Guess that’s what happens when you shove four matches into an hour. If WWE had spread this out a bit more, these women could have really shone. Anyway, I shouldn’t moan, I’ve enjoyed this tournament, and I’m already late with this review.
Mae Young Classic 2018 Episode 5 Review
Things are heating up as we head into round two of The Mae Young Classic. Oh, I sounded like Michael Cole. Jokes aside, this is when things gets interesting. WWE have put together an impressive last sixteen, so if these women are given the time to do what they do best, we could get some incredible matches. (With that in mind, I’ll be going back to star ratings. As most of the rookies are gone, I think it’s fair).
Mae Young Classic 2018 Episode 4 Review
The Mae Young Classic has been a wee slice of wrestling delight. The in-ring action has been solid rather than incredible, but every episode has been easy to watch. More importantly, the winners have set us up for a rather exciting second round. Let’s find out if they can keep it going.
Mae Young Classic 2018 Episode 3 Review
Episode three of the Mae Young Classic has quite the line-up. You’ve got the return of Kaitlyn, plus the likes of Toni Storm, Jinny, Mia Yim and Allysin Kay (who is perhaps better known as Impact’s Sienna). With that group involved it’s probably a safe bet that we’re going to continue the theme of these being delightful slices of TV.
