I swear it was only a week or so ago that I was putting together this list for the end of September, but here we are, the spookiest month of the year is in the bag, and alongside watching a shitload of horror films, I did find some time for wrestling. It ended up being quite a busy month, what with TJPW and Stardom running big events, the G1 ending (I didn’t watch it, but people still care) and AEW continuing to make things enjoyable in America. So, what did I watch and, more importantly, what did I enjoy? Time to find out.

First up, IĀ apologise for this review being a bit late. Quite frankly there is too much fucking wrestling. I’m not really complaining, I quite like wrestling, but the Disco Derby was behind a few more prominent shows in the queue.
Discovery’s first event of the New Year saw them pull the old indie trick of putting on their own Rumble. While it might not have gone to plan (more on that later), this was a solid card with the potential for some great action. Let’s dish out some stars.

Discovery Wrestling Uncivil War Review
Discovery Wrestling didn’t have the easiest of times coming into Uncivil War. British Strong Style were all set to be the poster boys for this show but WWE came calling, and they had to go. Despite that, the company ralliedĀ and managed to put together a damn strong line-up for a Sunday night of wrestling at the Jam House. Let’s dish out some stars.

I’ve always felt bad about not attendingĀ Discovery WrestlingĀ shows. As an Edinburgh-based brand they’re my local promotion, and yet ICW got its claws into me first. However, with the announcement that The Elite were going to be gracing their ring it seemed as good a time as any to hit up my first show. And hopefully, kickstart a relationship that will continue on for a while yet. So, here’s five thing we noticed at a sold-out Corn Exchange.
