It’s another two match show. I don’t have much to say about that, but it makes it easy to watch, so we’re not going to complain. Let’s dish out some stars.
CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano) defeated The Best Friends (Beretta and Chuck Taylor)

Ishii refusing a hug to kick ass is the most Ishii thing I’ve ever seen. Yano getting jealous of all The Best Friends’ hugging was the most Yano thing I’ve ever seen. Top class gimmick portrayal lads.
It’s probably no surprise to say that a lot of this wasn’t taken particularly seriously. Usually, that stuff bothers me. On this show, it didn’t. In fact, at this point in a long tour, it’s a relief. Best Friends and Yano goofing off makes a change from the many mediocre matches we’ve already seen.
Plus, it built to an Ishii hot tag. The Stone Pitbull makes everything fun, and while it’s a different kind of fun to the goofiness, it’s still damn enjoyable.
Even with that Ishii factor it still ended in shenanigans as a ref distraction allowed for the Yano ball shot and roll-up combo. I enjoyed this a hell of a lot more than I expected to. In saying that, if you can’t stand the goofy, give it a miss.
Verdict: Three Stars
Jeff Cobb and Michael Elgin (8) defeated Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) (8)

I believe this was wrestled before any of Michael Elgin’s dickhead comments about Big Jeff came to light. So, if you’re looking for bad blood between the partners, you’ll have to wait till the next show. While those comments are the least of Elgin’s crimes, it would make me happy to see Big Jeff take all of his spots going forward.
That unpleasantness aside this was a GOD match. Which means it was perfectly alright but lacking in that special something that would make me remember it tomorrow. Thankfully, it did have a bit of Large Jeffrey, so it at least filled my suplex quota. I adore the way he hesitates before executing the final part of the move. It not only enhances the feat of strength, it makes it look all the more brutal too.
The ending saw Jeff Cobb take Loa on a Tour of the Islands and can New Japan just give him a contract now? Seriously, the guy is made for this shit.
Verdict: Two And A Half Stars
Overall Show

This was an okay show. I really enjoyed the first match, although it won’t be for everyone. Then we got all of Jeff’s lovely bulging muscles, and I’m becoming a bigger fan of those every day. All joking aside, this was watchable which in this tournament is all I need.
