Mobile phones at gigs drive me insane. This incessant need to film grainy and crap footage of a band rather than actually enjoy them makes no sense to me, and I wish it would just stop. I am far from alone in feeling like this as well, with recent times seeing everyone from Jordan Buckley from Every Time I Die to David fucking Draiman getting annoyed at people being glued to their phone during a gig. All of which seems to have climaxed in Parker Cannon of The Story So Far kicking a female fan off the stage and the mainstream media attacking him for it.

Weezer – The White Album

It takes a certain wild-eyed hope to be a Weezer fan in 2016. The constant cycle of new album, convincing yourself that it’s good before finally accepting that it is actually a bit rubbish is tough to live with. Particularly when you have to stand them next to that back catalogue. So it is with a slight nervousness that you press play on The White Album for the first time.

WrestleMania Weekend Part 1: NXT TakeOver

Rather than throwing my thoughts on everything that happened during WrestleMania weekend into one big post I thought I’d space them out. So over the next few days, I shall be giving the lowdown on everything I felt about the Grandest Show of Them All and all the hoopla that surrounds it. We start with NXT TakeOver: Dallas. Arguably, at least out of the ones I saw, the best show of the weekend.

Zootropolis (2016)

Since Disney’s acquisition of Pixar and the hiring of John Lassiter their animation department has gone through a bit of a resurgence. Everyone is aware of the phenomenon that is Frozen but around that films like Big Hero Six have shown an ability to move away from the classic Disney formula. To be added to that realm is Zootropolis (known as Zootopia in America) a film set in an animal utopia.

It is here. The weekend that wrestling fans the world over look forward to is just days away and WrestleMania 32 will already be rolling into Dallas. As usual, the card has already been pored over in nearly every wrestling related publication on the go and discussion of it has almost got boring. However!
