Mobile phones at gigs drive me insane. This incessant need to film grainy and crap footage of a band rather than actually enjoy them makes no sense to me, and I wish it would just stop. I am far from alone in feeling like this as well, with recent times seeing everyone from Jordan Buckley from Every Time I Die to David fucking Draiman getting annoyed at people being glued to their phone during a gig. All of which seems to have climaxed in Parker Cannon of The Story So Far kicking a female fan off the stage and the mainstream media attacking him for it.
Weezer – The White Album
It takes a certain wild-eyed hope to be a Weezer fan in 2016. The constant cycle of new album, convincing yourself that it’s good before finally accepting that it is actually a bit rubbish is tough to live with. Particularly when you have to stand them next to that back catalogue. So it is with a slight nervousness that you press play on The White Album for the first time.
Eddie The Eagle (2016)
Eddie The Eagle is a classic British legend. A man who went to the Olympics and was a bit rubbish and off the back of that became a national hero. It taps into that British love of a trier, and you can bet that most people would think of him long before they got round to actually successful Olympians. It is strange then that it has taken this long for his story to reach the big screen.
WrestleMania Weekend Part 4: WrestleMania
The Big One itself. Now that we are a few days removed from WrestleMania it is easy to reflect on this year’s event as a bit of a dud. A crappy build, some strange booking decisions and a flat main event all make for a show that it is hard to get too excited about. However, that doesn’t mean there was nothing good to take from this year’s show.

WrestleMania Weekend Part 3: Barramania
WrestleMania weekend long ago leapt passed being a time for just WWE fans to get excited. Wrestling companies all over the world attempt to grab a hold of the buzz that ‘Mania brings by putting on shows of their own. Hence why, just a few hours before WrestleMania itself, I headed through to Glasgow to catch ICW’s effort: Barramania 2.

There is something great about the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. It invites new fans to discover legends of the past and with the WWE Network actually go out and watch their matches. This year was no different, as several men who should have been enshrined in that hall long before finally made their way into it.

WrestleMania Weekend Part 1: NXT TakeOver
Rather than throwing my thoughts on everything that happened during WrestleMania weekend into one big post I thought I’d space them out. So over the next few days, I shall be giving the lowdown on everything I felt about the Grandest Show of Them All and all the hoopla that surrounds it. We start with NXT TakeOver: Dallas. Arguably, at least out of the ones I saw, the best show of the weekend.

Zootropolis (2016)
Since Disney’s acquisition of Pixar and the hiring of John Lassiter their animation department has gone through a bit of a resurgence. Everyone is aware of the phenomenon that is Frozen but around that films like Big Hero Six have shown an ability to move away from the classic Disney formula. To be added to that realm is Zootropolis (known as Zootopia in America) a film set in an animal utopia.
WrestleMania 32 Predictions
It is here. The weekend that wrestling fans the world over look forward to is just days away and WrestleMania 32 will already be rolling into Dallas. As usual, the card has already been pored over in nearly every wrestling related publication on the go and discussion of it has almost got boring. However! NXT TakeOver: Dallas Predictions
WrestleMania weekend is upon us and it is time to get excited. However, in an interesting twist WWE has this year decided to not only present the grandest stage of them all but to give us an NXT show a couple of days before. NXT TakeOver: Dallas is one hell of a card, and there is every chance that it outshines the big one. With that in mind, let’s have some predictions.
