WWE are doing a good job of keeping interest in the generally barren months after WrestleMania. The self-proclaimed ‘New Era’ may be a little bit less fresh than it first appeared but it is still change. However, none of that matters if when the big shows come about they fall flat, so let’s see whether Extreme Rules kept up the game.

Extreme Rules Preview

A mere handful of weeks after WWE Payback we are back with the next PPV/whatever it is you call a show that is mainly watched via the Network. Special show? Who knows. Either way, there is a sense of deja vu about this. In many ways, this is just a rehash of what we got at Payback and even as someone who enjoyed that show, it all feels a bit lazy.

The New Era Looks Suspiciously Like The Old

WWE has spent the last few weeks promoting the so-called ‘New Era’. This era has been characterised by an influx of new talent all of whom are – to put it simply – rather good. In some ways, it is a brilliant time to be a wrestling fan. When you have AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens being staples of WWE TV then you know that something is going right. With the introduction of Shane McMahon and a load of new talent, suddenly WWE seem to be on a bit of a role, and it’s hard to see this show failing. Not only do we have established like Cesaro back in the fold but exciting new feuds featuring Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin. WWE might just be headed in the right direction.

wrestlemania-32

It is here. The weekend that wrestling fans the world over look forward to is just days away and WrestleMania 32 will already be rolling into Dallas. As usual, the card has already been pored over in nearly every wrestling related publication on the go and discussion of it has almost got boring. However! That won’t stop me throwing my two pence into the well and if you haven’t had enough of the WrestleMania 32 chat: here are my thoughts.

Roadblock Review

I’m a few days behind the rest of the world, but last weekend WWE put together a glorified house show and streamed it out to the rest of the world via the Network. With only a handful of matches announced beforehand, they bulked up the three-hour-long show on the night and delivered a show that while low on storyline worthy moments, was full of some cracking wresting.

Fastlane is just around the corner and with WWE truly gearing up for Wrestlemania season it is looking to at the very least, be an interesting show.  Seeds will be planted and more than one of them will sprout come Wrestlemania weekend.  So with all of that in mind, here’s what I think will happen at the last stop before the big one.
