Fastlane is just around the corner and with WWE truly gearing up for Wrestlemania season it is looking to at the very least, be an interesting show. Seeds will be planted and more than one of them will sprout come Wrestlemania weekend. So with all of that in mind, here’s what I think will happen at the last stop before the big one.
Kalisto (C) vs. Alberto Del Rio in a two out of three Falls Match for the US Title.
I have no idea what WWE is going for with Kalisto at the moment. Since he’s won the title he has been winning matches but I still don’t feel like I know who he is. He’s just another masked luchador. I think he’s incredibly exciting to watch, but that’s about it. On the flip side, I like Alberto Del Rio’s character, but he bores me in the ring. Who wins? God knows. The way WWE have booked this title it is impossible to tell. With the Cruiserweight show starting soon, they may want to highlight guys like Kalisto so let’s go for him to win.
Kalisto to win two falls to one.
Kevin Owens (C) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the IC Title
Kevin Owens should be the biggest heel in WWE, but he has spent the last month losing to Mr. Ziggler. Ziggler continues to be great in the ring but means nothing as a character. So this should be where Owens gets his wins back, and I think he has to get them back by dominating. This also has the potential to steal the show, both of these guys can go, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them put on a clinic. As long as it ends with Owens hand being raised, then all will be right in the world.

Ryback, Big Show and Kane vs. The Wyatt Family
Well… it is better than Braun Strowman vs. Big Show, right? Who cares? Who seriously cares? The Wyatt’s will win.

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho
I have been impressed by this feud. AJ has been treated right and Jericho is the perfect guy to introduce him to the main roster. Even Miz has played his part well. In classic booking style, it is time for AJ to get his win, preferably, by using the Styles Clash which has yet to get an airing on a big show. However, before that they can have a little competition with Owens and Ziggler to steal the show. Especially as the idea of Owens vs. Styles at ‘Mania gets me all tingly inside.

Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks vs. Naomi and Tamina
An actual WWE Divas storyline, how refreshing. This match should be a way to show off Becky and Sasha while continuing the tension between the two. If the WWE has any sense, they are going for those two to face up against Charlotte in a Triple Threat at Wrestlemania, so it makes sense to keep them hot. Naomi and Tamina are here to do the job, and that’s fine by me.

Charlotte vs. Brie Bella for the Divas Title
I would bet my last pound coin that before Bryan’s retirement the plan for this match was to have Charlotte win. I’ll bet that same pound that that retirement will have thrown a cat among the pigeons. It is tempting to give the belt to Brie and give her that big moment, but I honestly think it would be a mistake. WWE has a storyline set up for Charlotte and it only makes sense to have her continue down that line. Have Brie do the Bryan kicks and get that moment, but, in the end, she taps out to the Figure Eight.

Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
WWE has done a good job of planting that seed of doubt in my mind that maybe Reigns won’t win this. Strangely, though, it’s not the Beast Incarnate that I think could nick it but instead the Lunatic Fringe. Could they seriously give him that big moment at ‘Mania? No, of course not. Reigns wins and he pins Ambrose to do it. Brock destroys but somehow is taken on by the two other men. The question is, does either turn heel and I say no. I think you hint at Ambrose going that way but you don’t do it. That way you build to a slow turn which can come about after Reigns is done with Hunter and needs something new. Until then, enter the era of Roman Reigns.
