The Listening Booth – Tripsitter, Green Lung and Hank Williams Jr.

Hello friends, welcome to The Listening Booth. Today’s choices are, well, varied. I can’t imagine there are many articles out there diving into TripSitter and Hank Williams Jr. at the same time, but fuck it. What’s the worst that can happen?

Meltzer’s Classics: Bret Hart vs Owen Hart (29/8/94)

Hart off!

For a company that produces as much wrestling as they do, WWE/F has had shockingly few Meltzer rated five-star matches over the years. Their focus on entertainment over skill has often led to even hot feuds not producing classically great bouts. However, there have been a few, and today we go back to SummerSlam 1994 where it was brother vs brother.

NJPW Sengoku Lord (20/4/19) Review

Kota’s pissed. Credit: NJPW

Having conquered Madison Square Garden, New Japan could return home feeling rather proud of themselves. After all, they didn’t hire and fire two twats within the space of a few weeks. Anyway, it’s now business as normal as they hit the road for the Dontaku tour, with a brief stop off at Sengoku Lord. Yes, lets.

Stardom Glory Stars (13/4/19) Review

Credit: Stardom

Stardom may have just made it back from the good old US of A, but there was no time to rest tired bodies. Night two of this weekend was set to be the big one as the Stardom Draft took place, but the first show wasn’t without consequences itself. The main event saw Oedo Tai put their dance up against Queen’s Quest’s masks as one will be lost forever. Which one? Read on to find out.

WrestleMania Weekend: Blackcraft Wrestling No Apologies (6/4/19) Review

It’s time for my final WrestleMania Weekend review because, well, I’ve got to stop somewhere. However, I’ve decided to go out on a high. Blackcraft Pro’s show has been widely derided as the worst of the weekend, and I’ve been drinking for a few hours, so I can’t resist that temptation. It happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, so I am very intrigued to see if this is as awful as I’ve heard, or if the reviews were the result of tired bodies.
