WrestleMania 32 Predictions

wrestlemania-32

It is here. The weekend that wrestling fans the world over look forward to is just days away and WrestleMania 32 will already be rolling into Dallas. As usual, the card has already been pored over in nearly every wrestling related publication on the go and discussion of it has almost got boring. However! That won’t stop me throwing my two pence into the well and if you haven’t had enough of the WrestleMania 32 chat: here are my thoughts.

Fastlane Review

wwe-160221-660x380

Fastlane is behind us and despite WWE’s reported resolve to turn it into a big show, it managed to feel like nothing of the sort.  If you were the kind to predict things – like me – you should have been able to get 99% of the results spot on and the in-ring action rarely got above good.  One or two matches aside, this was a bit of a dud.  With that in mind, please read my review.

Fastlane Preview

Fastlane is just around the corner and with WWE truly gearing up for Wrestlemania season it is looking to at the very least, be an interesting show.  Seeds will be planted and more than one of them will sprout come Wrestlemania weekend.  So with all of that in mind, here’s what I think will happen at the last stop before the big one.

A Tale of Two Rumbles

Sunday the 24th of January saw two very different wrestling promotions on opposite sides of the world put on very similar shows.  ICW held their Square Go, at Glasgow’s famous Barrowlands, while the WWE hosted the Royal Rumble in Orlando.  Both shows are based around a Rumble style match and I was lucky enough to attend one and to watch the other (although I did have to stay up until 4 am so I don’t know how lucky that was).  The question is, how did they compare?

TLC

Another PPV and another chance for me to continue my positive attitude towards the WWE.  Thankfully, for both myself and the WWE, the talent have once again done their job well and it won’t be that hard.  I have to be honest and say I haven’t seen last night’s Raw, although I know what happened, so that shan’t be playing to big a part in this.  With that in mind, what was good about TLC?

Looking Forward to Some TLC

20151125_tlc_match_sheamusreigns_1920x1080-0-0

TLC is fast approaching and it comes off one of the WWE’s biggest slumps in recent memory.  The fans are fed up and even jolly old Mick Foley is taking regular pops at the current content.  However, in line with my determination to only talk about positive things in relation to WWE, I am instead going to tell you exactly why I will once again be watching this WWE event.

How Do You Solve a Problem Like a Seth Rollins’ Injury?

Seth Rollins’ injury is the worst thing that could have happened to WWE.  In the last six months, Rollins has upgraded from the workhorse of the SHIELD to the workhorse of the whole company.  Whether it’s dragging decent matches out of guys whose best days were twenty years ago or putting on entertaining feuds with his former stablemates.  Rollins has consistently strode above the bad booking   With him now likely to miss Wrestlemania, months of preparation have fallen down around him and the company is left in a bit of a mess.

Hell in a Cell Review

Last Thursday I wrote in my Hell in a Cell Preview that you would be better off not bothering.  Well, despite that advice here I am again, having put three hours of my life into a WWE PPV.  I am indeed a glutton for punishment.  My conclusion?  Hell in a Cell once again proves that if WWE’s creative was half as good as their in-ring talent.  This period of wrestling could be extraordinary.  Here’s that, but in much more words.

Battleground

Battleground is very much a B + PPV.  Coming just ahead of Summerslam, it is one of those classic middle of the road WWE shows, which is more likely to set up Summerslam than do anything spectacular itself.  However, with rumours swirling last week about who might show their face.  Battleground suddenly became a lot more interesting to a lot more people.  So let’s have a look and see exactly what went down.  Unsurprisingly, this will contain spoilers.
