It’s a full show, and I don’t know how I feel about that. On the one hand, we get to catch up with the likes of Okada and Tanahashi and see how they’re getting on. On the other, that’s a lot more average wrestling to watch. Oh well, the review must go on. Let’s dish out some stars.
Do you hear that? That’s the sound of A Block rumbling back into my view and bringing with it an incredibly unsexy card. Let’s dish out some stars and get this over and done with.
It sometimes feels like I’m the only person watching this tournament. That can’t be true, however, there is zero hype around it. People are much more interested in the various end of year awards and Observer Hall of Fame nominations. To be honest, I don’t blame them.
At least we’re hanging with the better block on this show, and that always makes my job a bit easier. Let’s dish out some stars.
Night seven of World Tag League and your reviewer is beginning to think they might have made a mistake.

The four-match cards continue, and – surprise, surprise – this one actually looks a bit tasty. I haven’t been coming into these shows excited about what I’m going to see, but this might buck the trend. Which probably means I’m going to come out disappointed. Damn, heightened expectations. We’re on night five, and these shows are already blurring into one. The next few have upped the quota to four Tag League matches, so that’s, well, annoying. Let’s dish out some stars.

Remember my complaint about mediocre tag-team action? I was thinking about cards like this. A night of New Japan dads vs Bullet Club backbenchers. There was a chance it would be God awful. The things I do for wrestling. Let’s dish out some stars.
I did all of the G1, and I’m determined to do all of World Tag League. It’s an easier job as there are only two matches on most of these shows and New Japan isn’t releasing the undercard. Still, it’s going to be a lot of mediocre tag-team wrestling for me to watch so have some sympathy. Let’s dish out those stars.
The Brand Split version of Survivor Series is a weird beast. It causes people who spend the rest of the year hating each other’s guts to team up because they suddenly care about the name of their TV show. On top of that, it’s WWE openly telling you that one brand is better than the other. Does that mean we should now all give up on SmackDown? Or maybe, I should stop overthinking this stuff.
