On what was a massive weekend of wrestling in Japan, it would have made no sense for Stardom to miss out on all the fun. Their latest trip to Korakuen continued the Goddesses Tag League but also threw in a couple of big title matches with Jamie Hayter going after Arisa Hoshiki and Mayu Iwatani after Bea Priestley. Stardom Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League (Afternoon 19/10/19) Review

Tag League kicked off in earnest with Stardom running two shows on one day in Osaka. It’s a nice quirk of fate that they are running a Tag League at the same time as New Japan just after the Bushiroad purchase. The companies might not be working closely together, but it’s still going to be fun to see which one is better. My money is on Stardom.

Stardom World Champion Wars (14/10/19) Review

It’s all change in the world of Stardom, as Bushiroad buying the company has worried some and excited others. Personally, I’m optimistic about the future, as it feels like the perfect time to put more money into Stardom and discover what their ceiling is. Plus, if it’s a choice between Bushiroad and WWE, there’s no real contest.

Anyway, this was a packed Korakuen with two big title defences, the start of World Tag League and a rookie taking on her master. Let’s see what went down.

Ramblings About’s Top Ten Matches of September 2019

For once, my round-up of the last month’s best matches isn’t actually that late. I mean, it’s a little bit late, but by my standards, that’s pretty good. Sadly, my wrestling watching from September was restricted to the promotions I never miss, so it’s a pretty predictable list. However, they’re all gems, and you may well have missed something! Plus, it means that if anyone knows of some great matches, you can tell me in the comments. I’m always happy to check out something new.
